What do you think of the Negative Album?
OK - since it has been proven that I can start THE LONGEST bboard discussions EVER, let's talk about something that pertains to THE BAND!!! I would like to see every possible comment that you all can think of regarding this topic. Please follow these simple rules on this message topic. 1. Keep it limited to one idea per message (it makes it easier to read.) 2. Leave as many different message comments as you feel you need to, want to, or can (I want to break my former message record.) 3. Refrain from commenting on other people's comments (On this topic, I want your opinion of the songs, not of what someone else says.)

Let's see what we can come up with. I'd really like to hear what you think about this...

Oooh boy I get to be first. I really like the cd despite the fact that I heard all 12 songs about a zillion times before I bought it and overplay it to death everyday. I think the mark of a great cd is one where you enjoy it just as much (or more) as the day you bought it. Some of the songs that are still enjoyable the 2000000th time are "Alien Gleams" "Breathe" "Spider" "Red/Scratch" "Closer 2 The End" and "Thank You" tho I enjoy them all. :)

I really like it. I think my favorite song is probably Spider, with Scratch and Thank You as runners-up. The record's got kind of a raw feel to it, but those tracks shine.

I think the more raw the better. That's what made Hi on the Low Fi really great was that raw feel it had.

I really like it. Scratch, Every Little Way, and Thank You are the songs that make the hair stand up on the back of my neck...
I just wish you had put Water Fills on th cd, though.

I like Alien Gleams and the hidden track about Dave.

I really like the song Alien Gleams. It's my most favorite. I love the beat. The song just rocks!

I like knowing how and where it was recorded. In the original blasting zone, baby! Lots of stories and legends about that place. Good times.

Yes, the negative album... that was so long ago. I wonder how many people have scratched the crap out of the original copies? Might have to have a re-release of this one some day...

Is it still possible to order Hi On the Low Fi or is that out of print now?
