Clutch @ Station, 8/30/07
Clutch had a show In Portland at the Station. Clint and myself attended, and it was most Clutcherific! It was a very cool show, they played a lot of stuff from their new album, and from Blast Tyrant. I just wanted to say hello to all who went, and ask what you people thought of the show. Rock Pro, yo!

I didn't go, but I've been curious: what's the Station like as a venue? Last time I was there (2001?) it was mostly pool tables and a bar. How's the setup for live music these days?

Same setup. Its just new management with good contacts with a national promoter. The bands still play on the same stage we did back in the day. 18+ can go in the band room, but if you have a drink, you have to bee in the pool area. You can still see the bands though.

Clint ripped it up in the mosh pit for most of the Clutch set. It was a great show.

Oh, I forgot to mention: I got to talk backstage with the guitarist from Yearlong Disaster. We traded CDs and talked shop about guitars, playing, and music theory. He was a nice guy, and had some questions about some good literature and books that would help him learn more about music theory as it relates to guitar. So I helped him out with some titles.
