I have a suggestion: Why don't all you people that like this website and this band help us out... Go to this page:
http://bmp.thephoenix.com/portland.html
Write in PHLUX for best local act and best heavy rock act. I think it would be fun to scare 'em all and sweep both those categories as the underdog. Don't you? They'll never know what hit em. I think this would be a cool campaign, so tell all your friends and get them all to do it too. |

How can Stu become a star if the bass keeps covering his vocals?!! |

Yeah you know, the bass covering the vocals is often a big problem, especially in the studio setting. Usually I try to fix it by speeding the song up - one or two octAves usually does it... anymore than that and it ruins the FEEL of the song. You lose a lot of TONE when you do that and it can lead to other problems, the most common being either 1) a watt problem, or 2) a quad problem. Sometimes both. Those are really tough to deal with, but fortunately I'm an expert... |
