We've got a second show in the Washington County Area at Fort Obrien school. And its all ages!
posted by Cody Phipps on Feb 26, 2002 10:27AM

They said that it was only for Jr. High kids. Why not for the High School too?????????
posted by Natalie Murphy on Feb 26, 2002 03:31PM

guess that means us older dogs can't come to the Fort Obrien show then eh?
posted by Chris Hancock on Feb 26, 2002 08:57PM

I'll tell you what.
I'll look into it and get back to you here with an answer about who can go... Maybe we can sign in special guests...

If that falls through, remember, there's also the show the next night at the Harrington Fitness Center. We'll be playing longer there, too.

Dude, tell us the name of your band... everybody wants to know.
posted by Clint Phipps on Mar 03, 2002 10:14AM

Yeah dude, what's the name of your band?
posted by Cody Phipps on Mar 03, 2002 11:25AM

Hey, umm we arent exactly decided on a name yet, we were acts of destruction, but none of us really liked that name, so Josey said that he was goin to think of a name, last night, but i havent talked with him yet, so ill get back to you guys on this as soon as i find out.
posted by Mitch Farren on Mar 04, 2002 11:32AM

We're still waiting for that name...
posted by Cody Phipps on Mar 07, 2002 06:29PM

Hey , yeah sorry about that guys... josey didnt think of a name yet. But i was thinking of the name, "color blind rainbow" its just a thought i would like your feed back.
posted by Mitch Farren on Mar 08, 2002 10:13AM

Well, depending on what kind of music you're playing and what kind of audience you're playing to, you might want to eliminate the word "rainbow." It conjures images of cute little grazing lambs, butterflies, sunshine and the like. I could be mistaken, but maybe images of storms and stuff would be better suited to your chosen genre? Correct me if I'm wrong...

I misspelled electronically. And now I'm going off on tangents- but make sure that whatever you choose to call your band you spell it right. ;)
posted by Piper -- on Mar 08, 2002 11:58AM

Yeah. Phlux was supposed to be Flux, but they weren't sure how to spell it. The rest is history...

Hey Cody... What guitar/s are you planning on using for the show?
posted by Josey Cary on Mar 21, 2002 11:44PM

Hey guys, what was the slow song you played in Harrington? I think you only played one anyways...I was lookin for the lyrics on here..and I can't remember the name of it?? by the way, you guys kicked ass last night.
posted by Amanda Fickett on Mar 24, 2002 01:51PM

Mighta been Water Fills, that's kind of a slow song.

My personal favorite from the night was Valhalla. I first heard Clint play it after the Halloween show in 2000 and I loved it. I'm glad it got worked into the set yesterday, it kicks ass and I can't wait to hear it again.

Yeah, the second band was damn cool. I never thought I'd hear someone cover Corduroy. It's one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs. And of course you guys rocked on Rockin' in the Free World. Good job.

I would like to thank Phlux for a great show. They have always sounded great; everytime I hear them, they have added a little something new to their musical repertoire. I would also like to thank them for inviting me to their humble abode after the show. It had been a long time since I had hung out with Phlux and the crew. It was a great chance to catch up with old friends and socialize over drinks, games of pool, and wonderful cinnamon rolls--courtesy of Mrs. Phipps. Thanks go out to everyone for their hospitality. Again, I had a great time and I hope to do it again soon. Rock on!
