The Beatles - Harrison
Its a sad day in the world when we lose a Beatle. George will be sorely missed. He was a great guitarist - probably one of the most underrated. He added more to modern rock guitar and influenced more musicians than probably anyone else before or after him. Without Harrison, there would be no Van Halen, Satriani, Malmsteen, Vai, SRV, Iomi...
We will all miss George Harrison, but he will live on in every song he contributed to, especially the Beatles music.

We'll remember George, as some of us will remember Patsy Cline. Charles Pierce said that we need to remember Patsy's voice just in case one day we all forget what red neon looks like at the dark end of a street on a lonely, rainy night. It would be interesting to hear what some of you think it was about George Harrison that will stand out twenty five years down the line....

Gary Kamiya said that "Above all, Harrison epitomized taste -- a commodity we don't readily associate with rock 'n' roll. And when dozens of his peers who ran off those pyrotechnic solos are long forgotten, George Harrison will still be there, deeply ingrained in songs that in their honesty, their strangeness, their enduring loveliness, will form his permanent epitaph."

The very best cream usually rises as close to the top as it wants to...

Even with the religious additions, there are a few of those cartoons that are pretty cool.
