most difficult songs i've ever searched
i seek info on the following songs. they have all proven disturbingly elusive thru every search engine and forum application i have tried.

1. i would love to know who composed, and who sang, the 1960s PSA that culminated in the slogan, "pitch in".

2. how can i obtain a recording of robbie condor's BANK OF AMERICA song?

3. lyrics to superfly

4. lyrics to groove handle song, "nigel".

5. lawsuit song, "north dakotachrome".

SUPERFLY

Darkest of night
With the moon shining bright
There's a set goin' strong
Lotta things goin' on
The man of the hour
Has an air of great power
The dudes have envied him for so long

(Chorus)
Oooh, Superfly
You're gonna make your fortune by and by
But if you lose, don't ask no questions why
The only game you know is Do or Die
Ah-ha-ha

Hard to understand
What a hell of a man
This cat of the slum
Had a mind, wasn't dumb
But a weakness was shown
'Cause his hustle was wrong
His mind was his own
But the man lived alone

Chorus

The game he plays he plays for keeps
Hustlin' times and ghetto streets
Tryin' ta get over
(That's what he tryin' to do, y'all)
Taking all that he can take
Gambling with the odds of fate
Tryin' ta get over (4x)
Woo, Superfly

The aim of his role
Was to move a lot of blow
Ask him his dream
What does it mean?
He woudn't know
"Can't be like the rest"
Is the most he'll confess
But the time's running out
And there's no happiness

Chorus
Superfly (4x)

"Tryin' ta get over..." (9x)

Anything that is too stupid to be spoken is sung.

Do you mean, what was Voltaire trying to say?

Yes, I suppose so, in a humorous way.

In the absolute off chance that you check this post one and a half years later...
You can purchase #5 from www.timbertrout.com
Under Recordings, it's on "Ubiquitous Lamp Twin Pack". FYI, the Preoccupied Pipers was the name of the project workgroup that Lawsuit grew out of. Thus, most of the tracks, like this one are really Lawsuit. Other tracks are various friends and collaborators. I highly suggest getting all 3 CDs off that site. Can't beat the price, including shipping. (And, no I'm not affiliated with them, just a fan.) Also the Preocc-Piper version is the longer, original version. If you want the shorter version from the later Lawsuit CD, drop an email, AIM, or ICQ # here and I will pass it along. I'll try to check back... someday...
