Some lines that I just can't figure out
Ok, here goes.

I've been listening to the portside tape quite a bit, and there are a couple spots that I just can't figure out no matter how often I listen to them. I'm listing them below with the unknown part in italics.

From Every Little Way:

I'm fine now
With no damn doubt
Don't ask how
I'm here with a south new jersey cow

From Red: Well, pretty much the whole chorus. I can almost tell, but not quite.

Red
The maze upon my fingertips
Emboss upon the stone behind her head
Blue
The color of her lips increase
The age upon my face a golden hue

Is that even close?

Hey Zach,

I read your message, and I can help you out with one of the songs. In "Every Little Way" there is actually no mention of a cow...although that would be rather humorous. What Cody says is, "My heart, it dried up and drove you out."

I questioned him too about what he said.

Clint or Cody will have to help you with Red though. I'm at a loss for that one. :)

Wow, thanks Beckie. I just listened to it again, and it seems so obvious (now that I know what it is).

Although it would probably be more fun to let you guess and come up with twisted interpretations of the lyrics, I guess this is your "get out of jail free" card, so I'll help you out.
"Red
The maze upon my fingertips leave marks upon the stone behind her head.
Blue
The color of her lips increase the age upon my face a fold of two."

I'd hate to be the one to question the lyric we were given on Every Little Way.....but I will. Actually what he says (at least in the live show and on the cds) is "my heart it dried up, and dropped you out".
